Impar Leg Warmers

by Clara beauty

Size
12,5cm (not stretched)

These leg warmers were made for a leg with 36cm of circumference (measured at the widest part of the leg).

Add/subtract 4sts to each cm you want to increase/decrease.

Material
1 skein of Heritage (Briggs n’ Little. 100% wool. 115gr. 196m)
4,5mm and 5mm dpns
1 marker

Swatch
16sts = 10cm

Note
The directions below tells you how to make two different leg warmers. You can do one of a kind, as shown in picture, or both legs the same way. It’s up to you.

Directions

Plain leg warmer
With smaller needles, cast on 40 stitches and join to work in rounds.

Work in k2-p2 ribbing for 15 rounds.

Switch to bigger needles work in stockinette st until your piece measure about 8 cm from desired length.

Work in k2-p2 ribbing for 15 rounds.

Ribbed leg warmer

With smaller needles, cast on 40 stitches and join to work in rounds.

Work in k2-p2 ribbing for 15 rounds. Switch to bigger needles and do as it follows:

round 1, 2 and 3: *p1, k2, p1. Repeat from * to the end of the round.
round 4, 5 and 6: *p2, k2. Repeat from * to the end of the round.
round 7, 8 and 9: *k1, p2, k1. Repeat from * to the end of the round.
round 10, 11 and 12: *k2, p2. Repeat from * to the end of the round.

Repeat these 12 rounds until your piece measure about 8 cm from desired length.

Switch to bigger needles and work in k2-p2 ribbing for 15 rounds.

Finishing (for both leg warmers)

To a very stretchy bind off, I suggest this one:

k1, *yo, k1, pass both (first stitch you knit and the yo) over second st. (1 st bound off.)

Repeat from * to the end.
