… I want to learn.

Bonjour, bonjour!

Wiknitting winternter is almost over. The days already started getting longer which means more sun light and more time to knit. 😉

I prepared few short classes for you to increase your super powers. These workshops are 2-hour and 3-hour long in  just one session, where you can learn few techniques to show off next Winter – yes, as we all know, Winter is always coming.

You can read the description of the classes below. Pick one or more classes and register here.

Continental knitting

Increase knitting speed and efficiency!

Also  commonly referred to as German knitting  or European knitting, Continental knitting style is when you hold the yarn with your left hand – just like crochet. The knitter insert the right the needle through the next stitch, then uses it to pick the yarn through. Because of this motion, continental knitting is sometimes called “picking.” The great advantage of Continental knitting is that this is super fast when you are working the knit stitch and you don’t have to make many movements with fingers and arm.

In this class, you’re going to learn how to properly hold thread and needles to maintain the right tension and keep your knitting regular and fluid.

Requirements: This is not a class for absolute beginners, but if you know already how to knit and purl you will be fine. .

Duration: 2h  (one 2-hour session)

Date: 24 February 2018 (Saturday), 10h-12h.

Cost: 30$ (material not included)

Material to bring: needles 4mm or 4,5mm and compatible yarn in a pale color.

Brioche stitch 1 (le point brioche)

A  challenge lesson of one of the most famous knitting stitch: brioche.

Brioche Stitch creates a wonderfully lofty, widely ribbed fabric. People often find it intimidating. Perhaps due to the yarn overs or maybe because of the abbreviations used in the pattern. Anyway, in this class, you’re going to start with the basics *sl1yo, brk* and see the fabric being made under our fingers. Also, I’ll show you how to incorporate two colors in your work.

Requirements: upper intermediate and advanced knitters. This is NOT a class for beginners knitters.

Duration: 3h  (one 3-hour session)

Date: 10 March 2018 (Saturday), 10h-13h.
